According to Wikipedia, In technology, a mashup is a web application that combines data from more than one source into a single integrated tool; an example is the use of cartographic data from Google Maps to add location information to real-estate data from Craigslist, thereby creating a new and distinct web service that was not originally provided by either source.
Mashup originally referred to the practice in pop music (notably hip-hop) of producing a new song by mixing two or more existing pieces.
When I brought MashupAds.com back in 2006, I had a pretty good idea why the use of Mashups would be great in Advertising. Consider this! Any changes happening in the social, business, technological or personal aspect of our lives is first noticed by the masses by way of advertising and/or news. The key is to predict news before it becomes news.
MashupAds.com was purchased by Dapper inc. Dapper deals with different data sets across different web platforms and technologies. You may find the site useful.

Acquired EngagementMapping.com & EngagementMap.com
Microsoft corp is testing a new metric to measure online advertising. It is due to appear March 1, 2008 in beta to challenge the likes of industry leader Google Inc.
Engagement Mapping attempts to collect data for various online stats between the visitor and their interaction with a product or a service.
I think ‘Engagement Mapping’ will be more broadly used by other online advertising metrics solution providers and will prove to be a valuable service saving advertisers millions of dollars in tracking their advertising effectiveness.

LLLL are letter, letter, letter, letter domains :
Last week, I sold these LLLL names.
SUGV.com - PVZS.com - VRZP.com
and some sequential hyphenated numerical names as well, They were
8-90.com - 89-0.com - 45-6.com - 34-5.com
4 letter domains were all sold out sometime in late November of 2007. I was not invested heavily in LLLL names. The few that I owned, I sold it at the forum. I still own some good LLLL, but not highly appealing ones. The LLLL investment slipped under my radar. There is only so much one can pay attention to. When you are midway through your business, your priority (at least mine) is to pay off debts. But you see what happens if you are not on top of your game. You lose out.
I wonder how the non availability of LLLL will play out in the end user market. (An end user market is where a buyer pays fair market value rather than wholesale prices.) Some pronounceable LLLL are already being valued in the XX,XXX range.
Since I cannot buy a LLLL for registration prices, I will see what becomes available at the wholesale end. Good pronounceable names will be an asset worth my consideration.
It would not be a bad strategy to buy some appealing LLLL at current prices. I believe their values will rise as time marches on. It all depends on how long you would want to hold on to them. Even 12 months of buffer will create decent profits as long as you know what you are doing.
